Lamelle PRB Pigment Repair Balm

Lamelle’s newest addition to the post-treatment care portfolio is based on the classic triple- therapy program, commonly called the Kligman’s formula. Medical triple therapy includes the use of hydroquinone, retinoic acid and glucocorticoids to manage dyschromia in the skin. The Kligman’s formula is a prescription compound that simultaneously inhibits pigment production, decreases cellular bulk in the stratum corneum and reduces inflammation in the skin.

Lamelle Pigment Repair balm includes non-prescription ingredients that mimic the actions of the Kligman’s formula with three additional benefits. Lamelle Pigment Repair Balm is formulated for post-treatment care to improve results with treatments specifically performed to manage hyperpigmentation in the skin. 

Six Actions of Pigment Repair Balm 
1.    Barrier Support: A semi-occlusive silicone blend provides optimal skin barrier protection during recovery from in-office treatments. Limiting the healing time and inflammatory skin responses to the injury created. 
2.    Anti-inflammatory: Indian Gooseberry has hydrocortisone-like benefits to calm excessive skin inflammation. 
3.    Soothe irritation: Bisabolol and ginger extract suppress skin itch and discomfort during the re-growth of the stratum corneum. 
4.    Pigment inhibition: Curcumin and a Resorcinol derivative provide equivalent activity to 4% hydroquinone treatment without the risks of permanent skin de-pigmentation. Limiting the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. 
5.    Soothe stinging skin: a synthetic Avenanthramide provides anti-inflammatory, anti-itch and anti-sting benefits. Providing comfort in the healing phase. 
6.    Increased skin turnover: Lamelle retinoic acid ester is used to increase cell turnover without the potential for sun sensitivity, dryness and irritation generally associated with retinol or prescription retinoid use.

Directions for use: 
•  Cleanse, using your fingertips, treated skin and pat it dry with a clean towel. 
•  Apply your Skin Essence product 
•  Apply Correctives or supporting serums as suggested for the  treatment protocol – no additional pigment inhibition is required though 
•  Apply an adequate amount of Pigment Repair Balm to cover and  protect the treatment area. 
•  The product can be slathered on, especially at night. 
•  Massage the balm lightly to spread it over the skin and even out  the application 
•  Combine with a broad-spectrum sunscreen during the day. 
Special Precautions: 
If the Pigment Repair Balm causes any sensitivity, move to Restorative Balm for a few days.
